CMHA Peel Dufferin highlights past year’s achievements in 2023-24 annual report

Advocacy for mental health and addictions education, expanding outreach services, and the growth of community-based programs are among the many achievements by Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Peel Dufferin highlighted in its 2023-24 annual report.
The 2023-24 annual report offers a comprehensive look into the organization’s impacts and milestones from the past fiscal year (April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024).
This year’s annual report features:
- The successful launch of the Recovery College, offering educational courses that empower individuals on their wellness journeys, culminating in the program’s first graduation ceremony.
- Highlights from the Community Crisis Rapid Response Team (CCRRT), which continues to provide a non-police response for mental health crises in Peel Region.
- The launch of the Black Health and Social Services Hub, providing culturally tailored care to Black, African, and Caribbean communities in partnership with ROOTS Community Services and LAMP Community Health Centre.
- The extensive growth and success of the Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) program, now offering expanded services across six locations in Peel and Dufferin.
- The national launch of the 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline, with CMHA Peel Dufferin as one of Ontario’s key network provider.
- The ongoing success of major fundraising events, including Ride Don’t Hide and the Push-Up Challenge, which collectively raised over $70,000.
