Senior Director, Clinical Strategy and Services
The Canadian Mental Health Association Peel Dufferin is happy to announce the appointment of Lisa Ali, MHSc, CHE, MSW, RSW, as the new Senior Director, Clinical Strategy and Services. Lisa replaces Karen O’Connor who accepted a new role with LOFT Community Services in Toronto earlier this year.
Lisa Ali brings more than a decade of work experience with CMHA Peel Dufferin to her new role as Senior Director, Clinical Strategy and Services. She began her career with CMHA first as a clinical case manager, then as a clinical team lead and currently as a clinical manager of the agency’s Case Management Program. Lisa has almost fifteen years of combined clinical, managerial and planning experience with Ontario’s health care system. She has a Master of Social Work from York University (2010) and is a candidate for a Master of Health Administration at the University of Toronto (convocation June 2018).
In addition to managing the Case Management Program, Lisa has participated in several CMHA Peel Dufferin projects – including the expansion of services in Rexdale and Bolton/Caledon, and most recently, the roll-out of the Rapid Access Addiction Clinic. She has also overseen data projects that better determine community needs, and managed several other system level projects that expanded access to care and improved people’s experience with the mental health and addiction system. She has demonstrated her commitment to the staff and clients of CMHA and the ongoing continuous improvement of our clinical services.
With diverse experience in a range of health care occupations, Lisa also recently completed a three month practicum with Central West Local Health Integration Network, planning engagement and change management strategies, collaborating with senior leadership teams, developing decision-making frameworks, and designing organizational development activities.
