What is the Peel Outreach Program?
The Peel Outreach Program provides mobile support to individuals and families aged 16+ who are unhoused or at risk of being unhoused. Delivered by a multidisciplinary team and supported by partner agencies, the program operates across Mississauga, Brampton, Malton, Dufferin, Caledon, and Bolton. It also includes three place-based teams in Port Credit, Cooksville, and Downtown Brampton to offer localized support.
This multi-agency initiative is a collaboration between the Region of Peel, Peel Addiction Assessment and Referral Centre (PAARC), Services and Housing In the Province (SHIP), and the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Peel Dufferin.
The team brings together expertise in mental and physical health, nursing, addictions and concurrent disorders, housing advocacy, financial assistance, and more.
As part of the broader Outreach Programs and services, the program offers comprehensive housing and case management support. In partnership with SHIP, we support individuals in supportive housing and provide case management services for those awaiting housing placements. Our Intensive Housing Case Management teams, in collaboration with the Region of Peel, work to connect individuals with housing and deliver recovery-focused support, including stabilization and access to essential resources.
Guided by Housing First principles, the Peel Outreach Program works closely with shelter systems and community partners to ensure individuals have access to safe, stable housing and the support needed to thrive. Together, we’re building a compassionate, recovery-oriented network that promotes long-term stability for our community.
