One word: accountability. Some people are very self-motivated on any given day and work well on their own. Others work fantastically in a group atmosphere. If the latter is you, join a bike group! There are many all around town and if you haven’t found one, start your own by grabbing some friends or family members. You can ride together by picking a specific time a few days a week and embark on a bike ride, or verbally commit and ride on your own. Either way, your accountability is in check to ensure you stay on track even on the days you don’t feel like doing it. Many local bike shops have further bike group information.
