CMHA Peel Dufferin Launches Downtown Brampton Outreach Team to Support Community and Local Businesses

CMHA Peel Dufferin is proud to announce the official launch of our Downtown Brampton Outreach Team, a dedicated initiative aimed at enhancing community well-being and supporting local businesses. The program launched yesterday, marking a significant step in our ongoing efforts to provide essential services and strengthen connections in the City of Brampton downtown core. 

The Downtown Brampton Outreach Place Based Team will work directly with individuals in need, helping them access vital services such as shelter, food, healthcare, and community resources. Additionally, the team will collaborate with local businesses, equipping them with resources and education to navigate mental health and social challenges that impact the community. By maintaining a strong presence in downtown Brampton, CMHA Peel Dufferin aims to foster a safer, healthier, and more connected environment for everyone. 

“This initiative is about meeting people where they are, ensuring they have the support they need, and working alongside businesses to create a thriving downtown community,” said Shelly Schneider, Director of Outreach at CMHA Peel Dufferin. “We’re grateful for the partnerships that made this possible and look forward to making a meaningful impact together.”
